Haines Quality Boating
The Haines family has been building boats for over 50 years. In that time, they have perfected the craft with many engineering refinements and innovations, and have more than proved the strength, durability and long-lasting qualities of fibreglass boats. The Traveller brand was launched in 2000 and is about to enter it's 10th Anniversary year. Traveller is 'Haines Quality Boating'. The Haines Group maintain the same Haines quality of manufacture as in the rest of their factory to bring you a 'quality' boating experience and a 'quality' lifestyle for your family and friends. | |
| | In crafting a Traveller hull we use a superior grade of fibreglass, double bias matting. It has a finer, tighter, and therefore much stronger weave. It uses less resin, is therefore less brittle, and is also lighter. The highly-polished, seductive gelcoat finish is also the best available today. It is almost 100% impervious to UV ray damage with negligible decomposition in colour or resin texture. |

RIVALETM technology A substantial $1.2million investment by The Haines Group coupled with federal funding allowed THG to develop a unique closed moulding manufacturing process which ensures product consistency and reduced styrene emissions, while improving product consistency and output at the same time. Coined as Resin Injection Vacuum Assisted Low Emission (RIVALE™) technology, The Haines Group will use their exclusive technique for the future production of their fibreglass boats.
“Because the emissions are well below world minimum standards, we can manufacture in Australia and keep jobs here unlike many companies in the USA and Europe who have moved their operations to third world countries due to no emission controls and cheap labour,” Greg Haines said. After two years of research and development, The Haines Group have created a robust and virtually unsinkable 4.85m dinghy using RIVALE™ technology. The first of its kind, the fibreglass dinghy weighs 320kgs, can carry five passengers and can be ‘customised’ with numerous alternative configurations; a feat that has never been achieved by the marine industry before. Have a look at the TD157 which is the first complete hull made with the RIVALE technology.
